Rethink. Reset. Co-Create

The future of education is evolving and so should our pathways for action. We aim to mobilize a critical mass of young change makers who are reimagining the future of jobs, climate action, and digitalization to co-create an equitable and sustainable future for humanity.

Hi, welcome to The Action4 Peace 2030 Forums & Initiatives – a decade-long action campaign for sustainable peacebuilding.

The Action4Peace 2030 Campaign is a decade-long action campaign for sustainable peacebuilding targeting youth-led and grass-root community centered initiatives across Africa, starting from Ethiopia. Following its inaugural session held at the African Union HQ, Addis Ababa (December 7 – 9, 2023), the campaign is currently coordinating and mobilizing resources for its (3) tracked working groups i.e the Green & Blue Economy Track, The Digital & Knowledge Economy Track and The Creative & Cultural Industries Track.

The campaign grew out of the African Artists Peace Initiative (AAPI) – a prominent Pan-African movement of artists and creatives that use arts and cultural diplomacy as tools for promoting peace education and non-violence. The Action4Peace Forums builds on the success of (5) successful editions of its #Art4PeaceForums (2015 – 2019) hosted as pre-events on the margins of the African Union (AU) Heads of States Summits in Addis Ababa. To date, AAPI is now active in 33 country chapters (5 registered), engaging over 90 celebrated personalities and 12,000 members across Africa and the diaspora.

The Big Idea

The Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the African Union Agenda 2063 are our global guidelines for our collective action. But where do we even start? The future of education is evolving, and so should our pathways for action. We are mobilizing a critical mass of young change makers who are reimagining the future of jobs, climate action, and digitalization towards an equitable and sustainable future for humanity. Here are the three economic pillars we are addressing.
